It seems we are at last entering the cold season. Today was really freezing, and for my part, I was surprised by the cold rain that poured on nakano in the afternoon. My ride back home on my bike reminded me how fortunate I am to find shelter when I want.
Anyway, today we had our gathering with sensei and Pierre.
Although Pierre had a theme he wanted to talk about, we ended up, thanks to sensei, around a couple of quotes from Paul that I wish to share with you this week.
The first one is
After faith has come we are not under a tutor
Does it mean that after faith has come, it teaches us from then on? Or that tutors are no more required?
Then we moved on to
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of the lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement.
Being joined together by the name of Jesus Christ and that there be no divisions among you. This is so comforting to hear. There should not be divisions because of denominations, churches, credi, or nations.
Ephesians 4:4 nails it down with two clear sentences:
One lord, one faith, one baptism.
One god anew father of all, who is above all, and though all, and in you all.
Have a healthy and joyful week.
